Bump it up a Notch…
The Felchionary “Definitions for all your skimming needs”
Bump it up a Notch:
All to often we find that comfort can take presidence over progression in the shallows. One can find it quite easy to accept their current level of progression and in doing so maintain a level of skimboarding that stays stagnant. Most often this situation is only noticeable to the rider alone. So how do you break free from these shackles in which you’ve created? Simple; take the first step and bump it up a notch. The easiest way to do this is to simply throw down. That trick or line you’ve been thinking about needs to be done. Often times you have the skills waiting in reserve to do said trick. The reality is, you never know unless you try. Here’s Willy Skims showing a prime exampling of bumping it up a notch.
Not to say that Willy was in a slump on this day; he’s definitely running on all cylinders with tricks of this amplitude. This is just illustrating an example of how one perfectly executed trick can open the floodgates to a whole new level of skimming.
